The Latch C2 was designed with both retrofit and new buildings in mind. As buildings settle and door frames shift, door alignment and motorized lock operations can become compromised. The Latch C2 solves these problems through its patent-pending turn mechanism, providing real-time tactile feedback when locking and unlocking and increased longevity for each building.
The Latch C2’s streamlined, three-piece, modular design simplifies installation and doesn’t require any extra wiring or infrastructure, resulting in lower upfront costs and fewer logistical headaches for both owners and installers.
With 24 months of battery life, even with constant Bluetooth availability, the Latch C2 minimizes extra work for building staff. Every time a resident unlocks using the Latch App, property managers automatically get battery life updates. Our latest innovation also allows Qi-compatible devices to provide an inductive jumpstart for the C2, supplying enough power for users to gain access and change the batteries if power is ever lost.
Like all Latch devices, the C2 can be unlocked several ways, including the Latch App on iOS and Android devices, Apple Watch, or other credentials like a keycard or doorcode. Locking is also made more convenient by not requiring credentials, so all users have to do is turn the deadbolt to secure their space.
